Beaver City is reconstructing 600 North from Main Street to North Creek.  As part of the project, there will be a couple of phases that we will be doing on the project. The first phase is we are installing sewer and water lines across 600 North at 200, 300, 400, 1100 and 1175 East, as well as installing new culverts for the irrigation ditch at 450 East.  The contractor Sunroc is planning on starting these today or tomorrow.  They will be doing roadway closures as they bring these utilities across the street.  They will anticipate working in a couple of blocks at a time.  During this time, detours will be in place, and those living on 600 North will be able to access their property. This work will run until April 1st.  After April 1st, there may be some minor concrete work on sidewalks and curb and gutter until after school is out, at which point we will begin on the roadway.  Roadway pulverization is anticipated the first couple weeks in June.  The roadway will be closed to local traffic only at that time.  There will be times where traffic may not be able to access homes for up to 20 minutes as we place cement treated base and eventually asphalt.  The contractor will do their best to provide timely access.  We appreciate your patience as we work to make Beaver better.  There may be occasions where those living on 600 North may need to park around the corner for a short period of time, or traffic may need to bypass 600 North altogether.
